When we read the ‘Book of Negroes’ and ‘Dear Sir, I intend to burn your book’ by Lawrence Hill, students were deeply moved and wanted to know more about this Canadian and locally born and raised author. When one student put forward the idea that she wanted to write to him, she was greeted with ‘Let’s find out how to do that!’ We asked and he came!
